4 Time Management Tools to Help Make You More Efficient

time management tools for brand marketers

It can be tough to stay focused on one project, especially if you’re a dedicated multi-tasker like me. Unfortunately, multi-tasking can cause us to lose focus, become less efficient and even lead to mistakes that are difficult to overlook. If your workflow strategy could use a little nudge in the right direction, we’ve found four great tools that will help you stay on track and get the job done quickly.

Pocket

We’ve been a little Pocket crazy lately, and for good reason. By signing up for Pocket, you can save anything you need to read or review without clogging up your browser or adding bookmarks you’ll only forget about. Come across a post full of blogging tips? Pocket it for later to keep you focused on the task at hand. Get Pocket here.

Podio

Thanks to integration with Google’s native apps, Podio allows users to collaborate with coworkers more easily and efficiently. Receive an email someone else should address? Assign it to them with a due date. Need a doc from a coworker? Share it via Podio and keep from losing your workflow momentum. You can also track milestones and due dates with Podio on your Google Calendar. Learn more about Podio here.

RescueTime

If you spend the majority of your time online, it can be very easy to become distracted. Get some extra help in your attempt to stay on track by installing RescueTime. With RescueTime, you can set your own limits for time spent on specific sites and apps, and set a timer to keep you focused on a task in a given app or site for a set amount of time. You can also just use the app to track the time you spend across projects and sites to help you understand how you spend your day, and how you can become more efficient. Check out RescueTime here.

750Words.com

An excellent tool for writers, 750Words can also be a great tool for brand marketers. Though not ideal for short writing projects (like blog posts), the site’s 750-word length requirement is great for marketers working on ebooks, white papers and case studies. You can arrange to have daily reminders emailed to you to do your daily entry, and once you’ve reached your goal, you can then export the entries. Sign up for 750Words here.
