New York & Company has long been a reliable, go-to store for women, but now the retailer is looking to reinvigorate its image, and engage its web-based customers with its new online catalog.
The layout is the same as the print version of the catalog, displaying the season’s latest looks arranged into complete outfits. This setup gives shoppers a more complete vision of each piece while also inspiring them to put together their own ensembles. But the online version has an added benefit, making it easier for shoppers to purchase all the pieces of a given outfit at once without having to scour the site.
By clicking on a given outfit within the online catalog, the shopper is then taken to a page that lists each piece of the look individually, complete with price and other available styles/colors. There is even a ‘Print This Page’ option that makes it easier for those shoppers who would prefer to get the looks from their local store.
There is also a link to the catalog through the New York & Company Facebook page.
The response so far has been good. Fans have rushed to the Facebook page requesting a print catalog of their own, and some Twitter users have said that the catalog has changed their perception of the brand and its products.
