Google for Entrepreneurs marks the launch of a new, major online resource for the startup and entrepreneur community. As Mary Grove, Head of Google for Entrepreneurs, explains, “We want to empower the next generation of entrepreneurs and startups to be successful.” To achieve this, Google for Entrepreneurs is an umbrella for all of Google’s programs and partnerships that help support partnerships and entrepreneurs across the world.
The site itself is broken down into three main areas. The first element of this revamp is the Programs section. This section lists Google’s partnerships and programs that cater to teaching and supporting founders, entrepreneurs, mompreneurs and every other ‘preneur you can think of. It includes major players in the startup realm, like Startup Weekend, and 50 programs, incubators and accelerators located in 30 countries around the world, including Campus London and Chicago’s very own 1871!
Events make up the second section of the site, informing founders of startup events and workshops taking place around the world, and providing links to attend the event in person or online.
Finally, the Resources section is a round-up of Google apps and services that might interest entrepreneurs. These Resources include an introduction to AdWords and links to sign up your business page on Google+.
