Not sure what you’re looking for? Pinterest thinks it can lend a hand with its new Guided Search feature.
App users can now take advantage of Pinterest’s guidance when searching for pins. Simply search for a subject, and you’ll be presented with relevant filters that will help you find what you’re looking for more easily and, hopefully, more efficiently.
While this is great news for users, it means that brands need to step up their game to make sure their pins are discoverable in this new version of search. How can they do that?
Keywords!
Apart from the pins generated in someone’s feed from users they follow, Pinterest is a game of search. There are plenty of users looking for your content. The challenge is making it discoverable to them. Including relevant keywords in your description will make your pins more discoverable. But how do you determine what keywords to use?
Research!
Take the time to use Guided Search to find content that is similar to the content you post. What keywords are those pinners using that is getting their content discovered? How is Pinterest filtering this content? If your health recipes are for weight loss, then it may pay off by including them. Take notes and add that into your keyword strategy.
