Sharing pins has just gotten easier and more interactive. Today, Pinterest is introducing Pinterest messaging.
Users can select a pin to send to a fellow Pinterest user and include a message.
The recipient can then include their own message and start a real conversation around this one particular pin. Or, they can send their own pin in response.
Wondering how this could be used by your team or brand? Here are a couple of suggestions to get the ball rolling.
Brand marketer collaboration
We’ve long believed that Pinterest can be a great resource and collaboration tool for brand marketers, and here’s another example of that. Anytime a pin inspires a campaign idea or a content idea, simply send it to the other members of your team. The conversation it sparks will then be contained in one thread, making it much easier to track.
Interior designer and client collaboration
We know that Pinterest is a great source for interior design inspiration and DIY decor. If you’re an interior designer who already has a presence on Pinterest, use this newfound messaging ability to send and receive inspiration from your clients. The discussion will be self-contained, and collaboration will be much easier.
