On November 5, 2013 Instagram revealed its first big platform change since being acquired by Facebook earlier this year. The much talked about mobile photography app will roll out a new web profile feature over the first few weeks of November.
With a large cover image and subset profile photo, Instagram web profiles look pretty similar to Facebook profiles. The profile cover photo is a dynamic selection of your most recent photos – an easy way for brands to show off their latest visual media assets. While users won’t be able to upload photos on the web, they will have the ability to follow users, comment, like photos, and edit profiles.
Find your web profile at instagram.com/[username]. If it’s not up yet, never fear – it should show up within the next several days.
