CVS Allows Members to Send Discounts Directly to Loyalty Cards

One of the best ways to get customers to respond to a promotion is to give them options. Often, this includes sharing discounts that can either be printed and redeemed in-store, shown in-store on a mobile device or a coupon code that can be redeemed online. Even then, however, there’s still a chance that the coupon can be lost in transit from an apartment to a department store. CVS is looking to prevent that from happening with a new feature that allows ExtraCare cardholders to send their discount to their card itself.

ExtraCare cardmembers who have registered for an online account with CVS now have a few ways to take advantage of discounts and promotions. In addition to printing an in-store coupon or using it online, cardmembers can have it sent to their ExtraCare card. The next time it is scanned and used in-store, the discount will then be automatically applied to the purchase made. Cool, right?
