Maintaining the sleek simplicity of its earlier model, this device brings significant upgrades, though at a steeper price. Here’s an in-depth look at its features and functionality.

Compact Design and Portability

H3: Pocket-Friendly Innovation

The Boox Palma 2 Pro shines in terms of portability, fitting neatly into snug pockets and cramped bags. Its lightweight yet well-balanced structure supports one-handed operation, making it an ideal choice for commuters and frequent travelers. This device is great for those unanticipated breaks, providing a focused reading experience without the heft of larger tablets.

Display and Reading Experience

H3: From Black and White to Color

A key highlight of the Palma 2 Pro is its color display. Although the inclusion of color might not be revolutionary for everyone, it enriches the reading of digital magazines and other media where color enhances understanding. The black-and-white text remains crisp and clear, vital for reading novels and academic articles.

H3: Adjustable Backlighting

Another standout feature is the adjustable backlight, enabling users to switch between cool and warm tones for the best reading comfort under varying light conditions.

Operating System and App Support

H3: Upgraded to Android 15

The upgrade from Android 13 to Android 15 marks a substantial improvement, providing enhanced app compatibility and longevity. Users can download third-party apps from Google Play, making the Palma 2 Pro versatile enough for checking emails, reading documents, and more.

Stylus Support and Note-Taking

H3: On-the-Go Note-Taking

The Boox Palma 2 Pro is compatible with the Boox Inksense Stylus, facilitating quick notes and document annotations. However, the compact screen size restricts its effectiveness for extensive note-taking, making it more appropriate for short notes and comments.

Hardware and Performance

H3: Internal Specifications

Featuring an octa-core CPU, 8GB of RAM, and 128GB of internal storage (expandable up to 2TB via microSD), the Palma 2 Pro efficiently manages app transitions and document browsing. It supports various document and image formats to cater to differing reading preferences.

H3: Connectivity and Battery Life

With USB-C charging, the Palma 2 Pro boasts an impressive battery life, lasting multiple days on a single charge. This feature makes it a superb option for extended journeys and daily commutes.

Conclusion

The Boox Palma 2 Pro is a perfect ally for readers and light workers looking for a portable, distraction-free device.
